Buffalo Bills

During the time of this lunch, I realized I misplaced the memory card to my DSLR. Well, I realized it once I started "clicking" away (tried to, that is lol) #Dumbass.
Luckily, I took pictures with my Iphone which I had to filter via Instagram since my Iphone tends to produce hideously foggy pictures. So bare with me in this post because the pictures suck. But hey, at least I had a backup #Win!
Anyways, I went to Buffalo Bills Brewery (not to be confused with Buffalo Wild Wings which is where I thought I was going lol). It was really good. I literally devoured everything including my Pepsi, which is obviously never an issue ;).
The beer is okay, but their food is amazing!

Fashion Icon: Olivia Palermo x2

Olivia Palermo has done it again. I don't think she's ever had a bad outfit day in her life. She looks absolutely stunning. The colors in this ensemble are so soft, yet they still make a statement. This might just inspire what I wear to work on Thursday :)

OPI: Spiderman Collection

I wasn't too pleased with OPI's spiderman collection, but I still went & checked it out for my mental satisfaction. It literally reminded me of halloween lol. I only liked two colors of the bunch which were "Call Me Gwen-Ever" & "My Boyfriend Scales Walls." Keyword: Liked not loved. I ended up getting only one of the colors becuase My BF Scales Walls was sold out, major sighhhhh. Oh well, next time it is.

This is color is so pretty! It's very coral meets orange & perfect for spring and fall. I would swatch the colors, but my nails desperately need some tender loving care right now.

Style Watch Oct 2012

I just recieved Octobers issue of People Style Watch in the mail today, woo! I'm super excited. I haven't read it yet, but I know this issue is all about fall & DENIM. FYI: I love love love denim! I can definitely say i'm super obsessed. And who's on the cover? The one and only: Rachel Bilson. Love her style. Very Rocker meets Glam.

Ah, I'm so excited! I always skim through every page then go back and re read the magazine so I know what to expect lol. #Weirdo

Etiquette #Coffee #Tea

love tea. Coffee too, but I love tea just a tad bit more ;). Fantasia is delicious. I'll ususally stick to my regular jasmine green tea when I'm there, but today (which is probably two days later now lol) I decided to have a caramel macchiato. Mainly to help keep me warm inside since it was freezing & I shockingly happened to LOVE it! I usually don't care for a caramel macchiato, but then again everything tends to be exceptional at Fantasia. #Success! Oh and for the record, I #Hashtag a lot. I'm trying so hard not to in my blog posts & I can honestly say i'm struggling lol.

Pretty view of Santana Row & a random guy who was blogging via Blogger. wtf!? #Random #Coincidence? #LastHashtag

Satomi

Went to Satomi Sushi & it blew me away. It was sooooo good. Even the plum wine I ordered was exceptional. Funny because you never know what type of wine you'll be drinking at most sushi restaurants; it's either red, white or plum--no brand lol! They usually don't have beers on tap either, sigh.
I'm not a die hard sushi fan, but I defintely appreciate some good quality sushi.  I ordered the "Lion King" and it was delicious! I can honestly say it was one of the best sushi rolls i've had, definitely top 3 in my book.

Kate Spade Spring 2013

Kate Spade is that go to brand when you want to give your outfit the right amount of pop. I am loving the girly prints and colors in the Spring 2013 collection. So vibrant & so much fun!

Black Bear Diner

I appreciate a good diner and Black Bear Diner definitely makes the mark. Their portions are ridiculously huge, enough to feed at least two people. Not only that, but it's so hard to decide what to eat when you're not craving anything because their menu is filled with tons of options. I finally decided on the Huevos Rancheros & they were delishhhh.
With the right amount of butter & jam, their biscuit is to die for. They literally melt in your mouth!

My Fashion Icon.

If you know me, you know I adore Olivia Palermo's sense of style. Personality? Not so much. She looks breathtaking in everything she wears & her outfits are always well put together. I truly consider her my fashion icon.
This is one of my many, favorite Olivia Palermo looks. Absolutely stunning!

Mama's on Washington Sq.

I've been wanting to go to Mama's for the longest time and finally got around to it. It was everything I had imagined & more. Definitely worth the "short" one hour wait, lol (apparently 2-3 hours is considered average here, that's insane!). The atmosphere here is great. Everyone has their DSLR's & iphones out, so I definitely don't feel out of place when I take pictures of myself or the food lol.

French toast was amazing, literally mouth watering.

The Beauty Blender!

I’ve been obsessed with the beauty blender & had to blog about it asap! It’s honestly one of the best foundation tools out there and it definitely gives you that gorgeous airbrush finish. Before my beauty blender days, I used to apply my foundation using a typical foundation brush (boy was I an amateur lol). Now I just can’t find myself using anything else!
You can get the Beauty Blender on Sephora's website (yes, it's online only). I believe it costs $19.95 for one, but you can get two for $24.95, definitely the better deal! I know it seems pricey for a "sponge," but it lasts 3-4 months and I think it works better than any foundation brush you'd get from Mac (trust me, I have them all).
It's about the same size as an egg when dry, but after running it under some warm water it doubles in size & feels so much softer. I know it's a little big compared to the typical makeup sponge, but the narrow end of the sponge allows you to get around to the smaller areas of your face like the nose and eyes.
Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. If you don't have it yet, go get it! It's AMAZING

Bill's Cafe

I'm a sucker for diners & had to go to Bill's Cafe in Willow Glen after my sister was raving about how delicious the food was! Not only was the food great, but so was the atmosphere (that's if you sit outside, inside was not my forte).

Make Up Forever HD Foundation

Since I was running low on my typical Lancome foundation, I started looking around for a foundation that would give me long lasting coverage. Since I love love love their HD concealer & take tons of pictures, I decided to try out Make Up Forever's HD foundation.

It's invisible HD, so it photographs well, but since my skin is super dry it didn't do much for me. The benefits? It's a 2 in 1 foundation (apply one layer for daily wear & two layers for full coverage, can't beat that!) & it is available in over 25 shades. I wear 120-soft sand and it matches my skin tone perfectly. Cons? It doesn't do justice for people with dry skin, unless you apply tons of moisturizer & primer. Don't get me wrong, its a great foundation, it just tends to enhance my dryness a little too much. If you're skin isn't anywhere close to dry or very dry, you will definitely love this product, otherwise steer clear! Hope this helps!

My favorite "go to" outfit

CLASSIC!
I love love love a classic outfit & nothing screams out classic more than a striped top! My favorite contrast color with stripes (black & white) is definitely red. I'm not a fan of red shoes because I personally think they look cheap on 95% of the population, so I tend to go for a bold red lip & matching red nail-polish. It just looks effortless and classier. Add a bold structured bag with nude flats and you're good to go. Definitely my go to outfit that never fails, you can practically wear it anywhere! Absolutely love!

Maybelline vs. Mac

Gel liner
For me, eyeliner is a necessity. But the real question is Maybelline or Mac? Sure, the Mac's gel liner is a great product, BUT it appears grey & it doesn't last all day. That's when I started to do some research and came across Maybelline's eye studio gel eyeliner and fell in love! Truly, madly, deeply. Not only does the Maybelline gel eyeliner last all day, it also comes with a brush and that too for less than $10, can you say steal?!
I'm more of an all liquid eyeliner type of girl, but for something to wear everyday, gel is the way to go. Here you can see the difference between the two eyeliners (Mac on the left, Maybelline on the right). I think it's safe to say that Maybelline wins. It is much darker and has a much smoother texture/finish. The best thing about Mac's? The container & the fact that it's Mac, other than that, nothing. Personally, I prefer Maybelline's eyeliner. Mac's not so much.

Packaging & comparison. Mac definitely wins in the Marketing department!
